Hello! I hope your Easter was wonderful! We had quite a nice weekend, with a family adventure day on Friday to City of Rocks, a soccer game and extended family party on Saturday and a low-key Easter celebration at home on Sunday.
As we head into the next week of Come Follow Me lessons, I am excited to study the story of The Good Samaritan as well as Mary and Martha. I identify so clearly with Martha in this story. I am a checklist queen, the master of getting stuff done. It is hard for me to slow down and choose “the good part”.
That’s why I set aside time every morning to study and journal. It’s my way to get my head in the right place for a day full of learning with my little people and trying to fit blog/shop stuff in the margins. (How I study General Conference talks).
I am looking forward to learning from these stories as a family as well. I’ve included a few different talks/coloring pages, etc. that we’ll be using as a family this week. Please remember that this Come Follow Me curriculum is designed to be SIMPLE. You don’t need to plan elaborate lessons or have an object lesson/coloring page for each day.
Just gather together as a family, for two minutes or twenty. Read a scripture and then talk about it. Repeat for as long as your people are engaged and learning.
